Missile Command Movie
20th Century Fox has bought the film rights to Missile Command, the cult 1980 arcade game by Atari. Fox wants indeed to bring Missile Command to the big screen. Screenwriters Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama have been hired to pen a script for the film. Peter Chernin and Dylan Clark will produce through Chernin Entertainment while Atari chief Jim Wilson will exec produce the project.
For those who don't know, in the game Missile Command the player, as a regional commander of three anti-missile batteries, had to protect six cities from an endless hail of ballistic missiles. Here's a video presenting the game:

The project is still at a very early stage. So there are no details about the plot. And there's no official release date yet.
